On the second day of hiking I went back to the Usery Mountains this time to hike the Bulldog Saddle Trail. This hike is actually a loop hike, Up to Bulldog Saddle then over to the Pass Mountain Trail where I was yesterday and then back to my start point for a short 5.1 mile hike. This whole hike was along a fairly well maintained trail so the going was pretty easy in spite of the elevation gain. There were quite a few hikers on this trail, probably around 10, so you never felt like you were out in the middle of nowhere. Great views to the north from Bulldog pass of the Goldfield Mountains to the east and the Salt River basin to the north. Finished this hike around noon and still had time for another hike.
