| no partners | | It was of to Rogers Trough one more time. I intended on doing this hike a week earlier but it was even cooler this week so it worked out. I was the first vehicle at the trailhead and there would be seven more when I left. The hike down Roger Canyon was nice and cool. It's easy to lose the trail but easy enough to follow the creek until you pick it up again. I went up on White Mountain using the side Canyon north of Angel Basin. The route up wasn't choked but steep and loose which makes it a workout. I wanted to drop down to a cave but didn't find a way down to it. I did find another ruin and got some good views. Lizards, vultures and bees were the fauna for the day. The cluster of bees was about 20 feet off the trail but I got buzzed when I stopped to take a photo so I kept moving. There were several groups hiking in when I was on my way out. A good workout in the Supes. |
