| partners | | Ginny and I needed a short early morning hike near home so we chose the Hope Camp Trail. We have done this multiple times before but doing it again during the monsoon is never a bad idea. We started at 6:30 and finished by 9:00. It was not real hot but boy was it muggy. Three of the creeks that cross the trail were still running from the night before rain. With the exception of 3 park rangers, one on foot and the other two on bikes the trail was empty. We did not go all the way to Rincon Creek so I'm not sure it was flowing but it probably was. Rincon Creek at Comino Loma Alta near the trail head was flowing last night but aside from pools was not running. The desert is green and plush and the ocotillo were wearing there green leaves. |
