Headed up Picketpost with Jill & Janelle, starting around 0715. Sunny to start, but we were in the shade the entire way up. Saw five hikers and one dog on the ascent, but we had the summit to ourselves. Jill’s favorite part of the hike was the scramble, so I guess I need to keep coming up with similar type hikes for her.

High clouds rolled in for the descent. Saw lots of hikers, four more dogs, and one cat. Several people who didn’t know which way to go, despite endless red spray painted arrows and bright orange ribbons. One woman who was scared to death to cross one rock—I suggested she may not want to continue on since there was going to be a whole lot more of the same to navigate. Parking lot was overflowing when we finished just after 1100.
