| no partners | | | I've had this hike on my wish list but put it off for so long because of the drive and because I thought it would be good to go with someone. Today I needed to pick up some hardwood flooring in the PHX area, so I decided to make better use of the drive up. I ended up solo hiking this one. I could not believe how busy it was on a Friday morning. I started the hike at 10:20 am. It was a bit chilly in the earlier hours but it warmed up fast and felt like an 80 degree day. There had to be 50 or 60 people on the summit. I met a guy from Houston TX who won tickets to the Superbowl. He was out here for the first time, enjoyed the mountains but said there really aren't any mountains anywhere near Houston. I learned that it costs $13,000 per ticket to go to the Superbowl. He was 1 of 6 who won it. Amazing story. |
