Mimicking my best Chuck Woolery, it's been 2 years and 2 months since I've hiked Echo. Baby's breath is all over the hills here too. One of the rangers suggested milkweed, she might be correct, but I couldn't match any. They said the yellow caterpillars had been out in impressive numbers on the plant, millipedes too. I only saw a few, but I missed early morning when they're likely out. My previous goal of 3-4 minutes to the saddle snoozed in at 8.

One nice aspect about Camelback is there is a lot of real estate up top to take a break. The world's largest mouse or a small rat checked my foot for edibleness then left into cracks of the rock as quickly as it appeared. Swallows galore playing in the currents lifting up the summit wall.
