Did a day hike from car camping on Gardner Canyon Road. Lots of campers over the weekend, probably because it's spring break for a lot of people. That and the weather was beautiful; partly cloudy and cool but not cold, and not too windy either.

I had LE and her friend Rose with me, so we just did a short jaunt to the Rock Candy Mountain mine and explored the area. We found lots of tailings piles and collapsed entrances, though only one really looked like a mine entrance. It was flooded.

Lots of water in the creek, which made most of the creek crossings fun. Trail conditions were excellent. There is one large tree fallen across the trail after the mine, but it was easy to climb over.
