We had brief periods of heavy rain up here two nights ago so we headed over to the creek to see if it was running. It wasn't, but there were lots of pools. Even with a 0500 start the high humidity and lack of wind made this short jaunt nearly unbearable. The last time I felt 90*/90% was in Florida years ago...ugh.

We encountered a squadron of javelina 5 minutes in but they skittered away before I could get the camera out. Same thing with two large mule deer bucks in velvet a little later.

It was a tough workout for Cathy to scramble over the rocks and logs but her strength is slowly returning. :y: She says she'll stick to sunset "hood" rehab walks until it cools off a little.
