Original plan was to just do Prospector's Loop with a side trip to Goat Hill. I got an earlier start than last time and made it to National Trail as the sun was setting and then headed up to Goat Hill in the twilight. After enjoying the view from the top for a few minutes and chatting with another hiker I decided to return via Pyramid Trail rather than the steep Prospector's Loop. The nearly full moon was up and provided a lot of light and I didn't need my headlamp to the top of the Pyramid hill. I turned on the red light on the headlamp to light up the shadows on the downhill. Made great time for a night hike. Actually pretty good time for a hike period. I've hiked this trail by moonlight several times now and it's always great.
