Started from Apache Wash Trailhead early afternoon. Wildflowers are still good show even if they are on the decline. Climbed the first hill near the trailhead before continuing on Sidewinder Trail over to Ridgeback Trail. Some real nice wildflowers along this trail on the north side of the summit.

About 50 feet below the summit ran into rattle snake. Stepping within about 2 feet of it when it rattled and scared the

out of me. I backed up quickly and then got a good pic of the snake coiled and ready for action

Close call but continued on to the Ridgeback Overlook.

After short break on the overlook headed down and back to the trailhead. Nice day on trail and longest rehab hike yet

Wildflowers Observation Substantial
lupine, owl clover, globe mallow, Dichelostemma capitatum, poppies, brittlebush and various other stuff
