| no partners | | Needed a quick workout before a dinner engagement. What a great day with puffy clouds, nice trail and a stiff breeze. Headed out to do the hike counterclockwise altho I had to back track as I wasn't sure I had locked Tonto 3. Quite a few people out in the first mile until I started heading west where I would mostly be by myself for the rest of the hike.
Along the Sidewinder Trail, the ocotillos are still blooming with those bright green leaves. Despite not wanting to take pictures of them again, I did. I tackled the hill rather well I thot; but it is such a good grade so I should. The views from the top were very pretty with the light of our current weather conditions making them so.
I had thot of adding on Apache Vista but I still needed to get fuel before my trip to Chandler so I didn't want to be rushed and just finished off the hike. It would have been the perfect day to finish off with that hill and enjoy a beer after. Oh well.

For me, sometimes it's just as much about the journey as the destination.
Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled. |
