| no partners | | I decided to make my annual Kendrick Peak hike today. I had not hiked above 10,000 feet since Halloween, and I need to start getting acclimated to some higher elevations.
Snow was nowhere to be seen on the trail, so the hike was in summertime conditions. It was a warm day, and it felt like summertime.
I only came upon 2 downed trees on the trail, both of which were about 6 inches in diameter. One of them was laying right on the ground so it was trivial to get across. The other was about a foot off the ground, so I had to stop and make a bit of an effort to step over it. All in all, this trail was about the best that I have seen it.
I drove in on FR 245 to get to FR 171, and on the drive out I took FR 193 out to highway 180. FR's 245 and 171 were in pretty decent shape, but FR 193 had quite a few potholes.
It was a nice day for the hike, although I would have preferred it to be a bit cooler. |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated I saw a few random flowers here and there, but that was about it. |
