| no partners | | I forgot what a nice trail this is. As with all three Bill summit approaches, the bottom mile or two is uninspiring, but once making the actual climb, this one is pretty nice. Being in the literal backyard of the FS district office probably helps to keep it nicely maintained, with plenty of freshly trimmed growth.
Clouds kept things cool most of the way, helping to overcome some of the summer humidity. Showers were visible from the summit but nothing imminently threatening. In the last mile thunder rumbled, and the rain finally arrived as we hopped in the car.
It was nice to follow up a late night of perseids with a few hours on the mountain. |
