| no partners | | Sure is a nice time of year to hike this trail. I was on call for work so I didn't hike the whole thing.
I saw a lot of bear sign. Lots of digging, and fallen logs that had been torn apart. I guess they are getting ready for winter. I saw a lot of different kinds of mushrooms. I took photos but I don't know their names. There was one of those lobster-like ones--I am almost positive those are edible, but I wasn't going to chance it.
I saw some cow elk. There were lots of flowers.
Podiatric report: My feet hurt all the way down. The boots no longer are working very well. I am going to see about having the toes stretched out. I also have some trail running shoes on layaway in Flagstaff--Salomon Men's trail running shoes. Salomon shoes run narrow. |
