bruce put together a three day trip to the white mountains
i hadn't been there in eight years and hadn't hiked escudilla in at least 20 years
we got going just after noon
the first mile is through the pre-wallow fire aspen trees, then the trail follows an old road bed through meadows
the upper half showcases the results of the wallow fire with downed and burned trees
even the floor of the tower burned
we explored around the tower for awhile and checked out the views
couldn't see a decent route to the high point
nice to be back here, but it sure looks at lot different
good choice for a travel day
using bruce's stats except for my break time
aeg was very close, but my mileage was a couple tenths shorter
