second hike in the senior citizen series (after black mesa loop)
we got going on bluff springs trail at 0600
saw two people early on, then no one else
john checked out the mine above peralta canyon
much of bluff springs ascent still in shade
tons of globemallow along the trail and on the hillsides
turned onto dutchman and made the uphill to the saddle just past whiskey springs trail
nice views from there of barkley basin, the needle and different rock formations
dropped down and finished up on dutchman
we didn't burn it down today
took photos and looked at stuff
plenty of brittlebush, globemallow, some lupine, fairy duster, a few poppies
nice to be out in the superstitions again
