| partners | | Met Denny at 0530 and headed up Telegraph Pass, surprisingly comfortable temps, some nice clouds, and shade for the first two miles.
Headed east on National and over to the first lookout above Kiwanis. Walked the road east to the second lookout. Given the nice temps, we decided to tack on a little extra. Continued walking the road east til we hit Holbert Trail. No traffic on the road since it was still early. Took Holbert south to National. Made our way over to the Gila Valley Lookout. By then the clouds has moved out but temps were still pleasant.
Got back over to National and continued west. Saw one tiny dead snake. Lots of doves. Lots of foxtail alongside the trail. Headed back down Telegraph, which wasn’t all that busy today. Nice workout hike, and good to see Denny again! |
