Met Denny at Warpaint at 0800. I guess the loop has some new politically correct name that nobody will ever pronounce correctly. It’ll still be Warpaint for me. Part of the Secret Trail is now the lower part of Corona, with a starting point farther east than it used to be. Easy enough, I always cut thru the wash anyway to avoid that unnecessary eastern section.

Up Corona East. Warm, humid, too much sun. A few small clouds gave us some much appreciated shade near the top. Quick jaunt on National, then down Corona. Saw a few hikers on the lower parts, including a group of eight who looked lost/confused and then chose to follow us back to the trailhead. A couple of bikers, including the same guy four times.

As always, fun hike & conversation, and good to see Denny!
