Felt like crap, but I’d already postponed this hike from last week, so I went ahead with it. Met Daniela at the trailhead at 0800. Headed up Telegraph. Hot. East on National. Hot, but occasional shade. Less steep, which was nice. Up to Gila Valley Lookout. Hot. Steeper. Some breeze.

Took a break up there. Tried to pour water on my shirt, but it’s the wrong fabric for that. Poured it on my hair instead, which is dumb because that just makes it curly. Cooler though.

Relatively easy descent. Occasional clouds. Hot. Good to see Daniela after a few months. Nice workout. Didn’t see many other hikers.
