Did the annual Kimball hike with Daniela. Got started just before 0700 to a delightful 39 degrees. I loved it, Daniela did not. The trail was as expected—decent for the first three miles, rough for the next four miles. Lots of water crossings—all easy. We made it to the summit without too much whining. Had a nice lunch break—steak and pastrami.

The hike back down is never as fast as I want it to be, but it was uneventful. Lots of bees and lizards. Plenty of flowers and grass. Great day!
