Met Denny at the foothills trailhead at 0500 and got started on Telegraph. Warm, no breeze, but no sun and used a light for the first few minutes. Evidence of last Thursday’s heavy rain on parts of the trail. More recently toppled saguaros.

At Telegraph Pass, we headed down Kiwanis. Recent trailwork is obvious. Saw more hikers. As we were headed back up Kiwanis, there was some breeze, and even some sprinkles. Much more pleasant. Saw one snake, not sure what kind, Denny thought maybe a coachwhip?

Again no breeze coming down Telegraph, but it went by quickly. Nice workout hike with an abundance of shade this early in the morning. Good to hike with Denny again!
