Denny told me to stop being a wimp about the heat and get out and hike, so I met him at 0500 at Pima Canyon. Made our way up Marcos De Niza. Nice breeze and clouds, but muggy. Pretty sunrise. Made our way over to Ridgeline, and followed most of the original alignment, then finished up the loop of the western part of Beacon Hill. Saw one scorpion and one chuckwalla. It rained a ton at my house last night, but the trails on the east end of the mountain did not appear to have received the same rain. Made it home just in time to see one kid off to school, the other doesn’t have school on Fridays. Nice to get out and to hike with Denny again!
