Denny invited me to join him for a SoMo workout hike. Got started around 0745 to pleasantly cool temps. I lost/forgot my hat, so was annoyed about that. Forgot I had taken it out of my truck last week when I had dropped it off for service because the transmission needed a software update, which is as ridiculous as it sounds.

Headed up Geronimo, which has a new PC name. I will never remember what it is. I still call Squaw Peak, Squaw Peak, so I am not likely to concern myself with this new trail name for Geronimo for at least a couple more decades.

Plenty of shade on the way uphill. Kind of surprised to not see any other hikers. Very clear air, thanks to last night’s wind.

The descent was easy. Saw four coyotes. I don’t know how Denny managed to spot them from a distance. Saw three hikers and a dog as we were finishing. Thanks, Denny, for the hike and conversation!
