Started from Bursera TH at 0800. Made our way over to Gila and took that west. Then took Bursera back east to complete the loop.

Looks like the new Gila alignment is almost done. I could see more of the new cut, and the flags for the remainder. Didn’t see anyone on Gila, but a few hikers on Bursera, including one old guy who thought it would be funny to growl at the dog when he walked past. The dog did not think it was funny at all, and gave him one sharp bark in response.

Cool and mostly cloudy, which was nice. Some of the loose rock has been cleared off Bursera, which made for a more pleasant descent. We even jogged for a short distance, which I hate, but the dog likes it.
