I think we dressed for two separate hikes—I wore shorts and a sun hoodie, Jill wore leggings and three layers. I asked her if she was sure she grew up in Canada. She assured me she did. Hmmm.
The hike up was good. Jill even led part of the way. Breezy up top, so we sat behind/between the rocks. Snack break at the summit, where I nearly died on my snack, much to Jill’s amusement. Hazy views.
The descent went smoothly. Saw eight hikers and two dogs making their way uphill. They all asked (not the dogs) how much farther they had to go. I lied to make them all think they were closer than they really were, and gave some words of encouragement.
Nice day and Jill was happy to improve upon her time compared to the last time she did this one. |
