| partners | | janie dropped us off at spooner summit for a day hike to kingsbury grade
as we got going, we noticed a tarp set up with snacks
not trail magic, but a mountain biking event with 300 riders
we would get passed by about 250 of them throughout the hike, which was a bit disruptive
good trail with moderate grades and occasional views of lake tahoe
pine, fir, a few aspen, granite boulders, a few meadows for enjoyable terrain
an initial climb hitting a nice open viewpoint at about five miles, then some ups and downs
good cruise with just day packs except for moving aside for the mountain bikers
finished up early afternoon
janie picked us up and we moved camp to fallen leaf campground
had some great mexican food from jalapeno's in south lake tahoe
great hike, great day
