| no partners | | Early morning hike at Deem. Heading out of town for a few days and wanted to get this trail in before February ended. Did this loop going CC. Very briefly on the Circumference before taking Tower Rd. up to where the Palisades starts. The trail is annoyingly rocky as it reaches the high point for the hill that it tackles. You get ok views from the high point, but basically you are looking at homes and a burgeoning chip plant off to the north. The Palisades descends rather nicely as it heads to the east. The slope is much more gradual and not nearly as rocky. Once I reconnected to the Circumference I continued to take that CC until I returned to the TH.
Nice morning. Enjoying the temps while I can. No wildlife. Saw one ambitious jogger tackling the rocky slopes. |
