| no partners | | | First of two. Early morning hike at Thunderbird Park. Starting from 67th Ave TH, the goal was to do the Chuckwalla Trail. Since that trail starts at the TH and is only .3 miles long I had to “spice it up” a little. Took Chuckwalla to Sunrise Trail, hit the summit and then took the Ridgeline down to Coachwhip. Went east on the Sunrise Trail and took a use trail over to the Desert Iguana which I used to get back to the TH. Busy trails this morning. Encountered over 40 hikers with some repeats thrown in. (We were all using the same trails around Sunrise “Mountain”, which is a pretty small area. No wildlife. Nice temps to start the morning. |
