Close to home lasso loop that I haven't done in a while. Chilly 6am start but it warmed up quickly once the sun broke over Black Mountain. Fed a carrot to my old friend Mr. Ed the horse near the P.A. Seitts TH. He seems to always remember me when I go there. Lots of trail improvements shown in the photoset.

R/S didn't start recording until a mile and a half into the hike which was odd. Some of the new nature sounds Joe put in for the splits are a hoot. Did I hear "Gnawing Bark Beetle"? My back and knee still hurt but are feeling better all the time. I look forward to being able to do some "real" hikes in the future. I just need to accept the fact that I'm a bit slower than in the past for now.

Nice hike with breakfast afterwards at "Brunch" in Cave Creek. My new favorite restaurant.
