When I arrived at the turn off for the falls it started to rain so I put on my rain gear and started down the hill. I wasn't sure how far I'd go but the rain stopped for a while and the hiking was good. Once I got to the creek hopping across the wet rocks was slow but I didn't want to turn back now. It seemed to take forever to get to the falls and they were the only thing dry in the area when I got there. After eating a snack, I was cold so I started back. The rock hopping seemed easier on the exit and I was back at the turn out before long. I thought the climb out would be long but the rain had stopped again and there was sun off and on so this added incentive made the hike up seem easy. Once back on Reavis trail the temperature was nice and my clothes were drying out so I cruised back to the trailhead. Some of the best views are from the trailhead and there was one other vehicle in the lot. On the drive out I saw two bighorn ewes coming up Fish Creek Hill. |
