A nice day in the foliage. This was my first time to the summit. Chiu (unregistered pillow thief) tagged along too. Chatted with Randy. Met MrBadBern, Joseph and uphillhiker. If you'd never been to the area you might think it's extreme foliage. I've seen it in full glory so I'm going with Substantial. In this warmer than usual year many trees are still a week from turning. Tiring day from the valley. Not as packed as 2006 yet many enjoying the area. Believe this nudges me over 400k YTD.

The trailhead is only 28.2 miles from the Catalina highway at one point. Unfortunately there's no direct route making it a long drive from the valley :sweat:
