| partners | | This was a nice forested hike. Only saw a little bit of water in one of the many tanks. Beyond what I consider filterable No tread/maintenance issues. My least favorite part of the hike was the road west of 180. Luckily that wasn't too long. We all agreed it's a shame this zig zags all over the place when a nice walk from Grandview Tower over and along the rim would have been much more enjoyable. Yet it's understandable it may have been routed as such for thru hikers to stock up on supplies. The company really made this day more than anything. The wind was fierce throughout the day. We hiked a tad further to our shuttle car. Bruce murdered a squirrel. Someone hit a tree so hard that it put a three foot dent in the hood. We waited maybe 45min for the tow truck to clear the road. The views on the return home were phenomenal, my first time on 64 over to 89. Good times, thanks to all!
