| partners | | went up to the seven springs area with cactuscat this morning
hard to believe it's been a year since we hiked something together
wanted something early, shady and kinda flat due to the temps
this trail along the water was the perfect getaway today
i was here probably ten years ago and i'm not sure how far i went out and back that time
we strolled through the shady parts, enjoyed being near the water, and found kelly's swimming hole
i went a little further, past the crested saguaro and down to another creek crossing at about the four mile point
on the way back, found THE swimming hole, complete with boulders, beach and camping spot, so kelly came back with me to check it out
headed back and ran into a guy who warned us about a rattler near the trail
he had put some sticks down to mark the spot and sure enough, one angry rattlesnake just off the trail
about five minutes later, kelly saw another snake on top of some netted boulder contraption
two snakes within five minutes? time to be done and we finished on the road

this was a great choice for an abnormally warm day |
