Brian wanted to do a small Hike today. Original Plan was Red Creek, but Brian's Jeep wasn't cooperating right out of the Garage, so I improvised and came up with Cave Creek Trail and the Seven Springs area. I haven't been to the Seven Springs area in over 25 years and Brian didn't think he'd ever been there, so it was perfect.

Brian picked me up and away we went. I would have never suspected that Fall had arrived to Seven Springs. I figured that it was too low in elevation for anything to be changing yet. Boy was I wrong and very surprised. It was awesome!!!

We started at the Day Use area that apparently you're no longer supposed to use. Waded up the Creek a little ways. The Water was cold to start at 9:00 in the morning and my feet got pretty cold, but I didn't care, it was so worth it. Returned to the Use area and headed up to the TH. Took the Trail for about a mile, then got onto an offshoot Trail that followed the Creek a little more closely. Waded the Creek quite a bit, scaring all of the Frogs and Crayfish. The Colors followed the Creek the whole way. It was very cool.

Came to a point where we decided to turn around, and took a nice break, just enjoying the Water and Trees. On the way back, we got back on Cave Creek Trail for a little ways back until it crossed 24A, then took 24A back to 24 and then up the Road towards the Car. Stopped at the CCC Campground and checked out the Map of the Great Western Trail.

Got back to the Car and took off. What a great way to spend a few hours of the day. Beautiful area at a beautiful time of year. Thanks for joining me and driving Brian!!!
