| no partners | | Walked to the Village, took shuttles out to Yaki Point and walked around there, then back to Visitors Center - watched the movie - and the bookstore. Blue shuttle back to village, then walked back to my place. I love having access to the shuttles - yeah they are crowded sometimes and take longer than driving yourself, but they are convenient, reliable, and free!
Looking like it's gonna storm any second ... may go back to the Rim later, and maybe down the BA a little ways if the storm blows over...
Added another mile - storm never really materialized, so I walked back to the Village ... I was on the lookout for condors, but none showed up ... checked out the cool artifacts at Kolb Studio - old cameras, and the 125lb portable boat that they built and carried down to the river...
My cats saw their first squirrel today - very exciting! Also many chipmunks dashing around, bunnies, hummingbirds, nuthatches, woodpeckers in my yard ... I haven't seen one of the huge ravens walk through the yard yet, but I bet the cats will freak out when one does. I am just waiting to see elk in the yard - I am amazed to be living so close to so many of them ... suppose I'll get used to it. Let's just say I am loving the wildlife.  |
