| no partners | | (Edit: March 7) My legs were still a bit sore from strength training, but I had to get out before the snow today and tomorrow. I was off a little past 2pm. It was quite windy at times, but when there were no gusts, it actually felt like spring in the sun. It was the first time in months that I could feel the warmth of the sun on a hike. The trail was completely ice free, which was fantastic. I just love the mile below Cedar Ridge and I still think the SK is my favorite trail in the canyon, beating either Bright Angel or Hermit. Or maybe it was just the fact that I hadn't been past CR for some time. Either way, I greatly enjoyed the hike. Down in 50 minutes, 17 minute break at Skeleton Point viewing the river and up in just over 58 mins. |
