Off around 2pm. Low 40s, cold hands in the shade. Up in 11:58, around, up in 12:11, up to the butte and back down. Told a couple folks of the two options to make it to the top; hopefully, they made it up. New Aasics trail runners failed on the descent. I've tried a couple shoes lately, but not really pleased with them. Probably go back to the trusted Merrel moab ventilator mids. Those were my first two pair of hiking shoes and no issues at all. Brooks cascadia worked great for trail runners, but others I have tried haven't felt right.
