| no partners | | On the way home from Payson I got a whim to go try out the Pipeline Road with the Cherokee. I did this hike last year with Bob shortly after I bought the car. This time I have a small lift and wanted to see the difference. Good news it never bottomed out! Bad news I had a rock go through the sidewall of my front passenger tire about 3 miles in. Luckily I have a full size spare so I swapped it out after backing down the road to a flat spot.
Then I went on a hike to the cabin. I was thinking it was only around 6 miles. I text JohnLP to confirm distance but he said it was apx. 10 miles round trip. I was a little concerned about going back down that road without a spare. The main thing is I wanted to be out of there before dark just in case.
The hike went fast and going out was smooth sailing. Looks like I will be taking advantage of that "road hazard" I bought with the tires tomorrow morning. |
