Had to get out and enjoy the perfect weather so I headed up to the Flatiron. It was beautiful all day, the trail was pretty empty and the clouds kept rolling by! Went around to the south side cliffs and had a snack, soaked up some rays and listened to the "jet" birds go whizzing by. I also took time to study Monument Canyon as Mike and I will be trying that on Friday.

Stopped and talked to a few people on the way down, including a young guy from New Hampshire who was really enjoying the hike, a guy carrying groceries for his sister (it's a joke, kind of, but they were really nice) and two girls: one local, one from Illinois. They were going for the top but they weren't sure if they would make it since they were taking an extended break before the basin. Hopefully they did ok!
