A number of years ago there was some sort of dispute going on over these old buildings and the owner threatened to bulldoze them all down. Glad that didn't happen! 
The mining legacy of this area is mind boggling. And Red Mountain? Well there aren't too many places as colorful as this! 
This was an easy stop; the next one would prove to be more challenging. But who cares when you are having fun.
