| no partners | | After riding the train up from Durango, there was about two hours of free time before either taking the train or bus back, unless of course you were spending the night. Just the right amount of time to walk around a bit and pick a place for lunch. Many worthy places to choose from; I selected the Teller House. It did not disappoint. I boarded the bus for the ride back to Durango fully satisfied.

Interestingly, I would see Silverton three times on three consecutive days on this trip. Guess it was the focal point. And why not? A wonderful place in the very heart of the San Juan Mountains.
