usually don't post my campouts, but this one was special
randy's favorite in the huachucas
remote feeling, well shaded, clean and uncrowded
a rocky five mile approach up carr canyon
right across from access to carr peak
we took a side trail right from our campsite up to the road when it got dark
great overlook of the sierra vista lights with a nearly full moon illuminating cloud cover
temps were mild and there was a fresh mountain breeze
we also went down a drainage into a mini-slot canyon that had a drop of several hundred feet
cool at night, although you didn't really get a sense of exposure
brought our coffee back the next morning to explore and admire the views
neat spot, and nice that randy has spent so much time up there that he knows the cool places
very quiet night and i even slept well
as i mentioned in my triplog, we had bacon for breakfast :)
