This was a Sierra Club meetup hike from Tucson with several Phoenix members joining too. Since none of the others had been to Reavis Grave, I showed them that, which is always a nice side trip on the way to the cliff dwelling. Perfect day for the hike. On the way in there was a little traffic jam due to a cleanup party gathering along Hewitt Station Road just off Queen Valley. Once passed that it was the bumpy drive to Rogers Trough (pointed out the small arch also). Only a few vehicles at the trailhead when we got there, but that would change by the time we returned in late afternoon. This was my first time to the dwellings since 2008, so it was nice to go back. It is a delightful hike that I especially enjoy for the walk along the stream under the bountiful tree canopy. This was the first time down canyon from the Reavis turnoff for Bill and he was impressed with this one. Just gets better the further you go.

Encountered lots of people on our way back out. Then it was the bumpy ride back out, but we were treated to catching wonderful setting sunlight on Byous Butte. When we were almost back to Queen Valley Road we hit another big traffic jam. This was the real McCoy due to a bad accident at Queen Valley Road and the 60. We were stuck there for a long time. Got pretty hungry during the wait, so we stopped for dinner at L&B Inn Mexican Restaurant in Florence once we got rolling again.
