Took advantage of a break in the monsoon to check out this trail. Absolutely beautiful views from the top of the rim! Started from the trailhead on FR56 near Garland Prairie and hiked counterclockwise. Dang flies were circling my head non stop around KA hill and around the sawmill! :x Closer to the rim there was an upslope breeze coming out of the canyon which made the flies go away. Pomeroy Tanks had a little bit of standing water and a few of the lilies were blooming. The creek on the east side had what looked like a bit more water and a bit clearer, but I'd definitely treat it before drinking.

Definitely would love to come back, but I probably wouldn't do the whole thing as a day hike again. Instead I think I'd park at the Pomeroy Tanks trailhead, hike up to Pomeroy Tanks, turn around and hike along the rim a ways, then turn around and come back. The north side of the loop started to drag on after a while. Most parts of the trail are easy to follow. The only place it became somewhat faint was on the west side of KA hill.

A few lilies blooming both in Pomeroy Tanks and the creek on the east side, and a few other flowers here and there, but nothing significant.

Standing water in nearly all of the tanks. It looked "alright". I've seen worse and I've seen better. I would use it if I needed water, but I'd definitely treat it.
