A twenty plus degree drop in temp pretty much said it's time to hit our favorite desert. The Maricopa Mountains are as peaceful as one can get, unless a jet passes over from Luke Airbase, then it just gets real cool. The only bummer is that it appears the deer hunters aren't respecting the no vehicle part of this area. We saw numerous OHV tracks and on our way back we heard an approaching quad. I stood in the middle of the trail as the young man shut it off and proceeded to apologize profusely for riding out here but he got a deer 2 miles up and needed to bring it back. Really maybe you should have thought of that, but hey it's ok to go and trash the trail cuz well you want and need to. I gave him more crap and then commented, I hope you didn't poach it also. I was pissed for awhile and then Deb said hey it's not our job. Still a great day and we can't wait to get back.
