Greg , Joel, and Christie went into Aravaipa for a couple of days. we set up camp at the Deer canyon/Aravaipa confluence. we spent the majority of our time exploring Deer Canyon. all the way to the end. I've included a photo of what the end looks like and you would think you ended up in Moab. We knocked out about 25 miles between going in and out of Aravaipa and exploring Deer Canyon. All that sand walking in Deer Canyon makes your legs sore. The lowest temps we saw was 25F which is pretty cold when nature calls in the middle of the night. Great campfires and a great time although we saw almost no wildlife in the canyons except for a few birds.
