| no partners | | I was invited to join a group for a Battleship Mountain hike today, but with the weather the way it was, it didn't look like it was going to happen. After a lot of back and forth via email, the larger group became a smaller group and the smaller group decided to go for it. Am I ever so glad we did!
I met the group (there were five total) at the First Water TH a few minutes before 9. We left a few minutes later. With snow everywhere, the plan was to head towards Battleship and see what happened, but it was so gorgeous out that it didn't matter what we did; I was just happy to be out there.
We didn't make it to the summit. The narrows that gives most everyone the jitters on a good day was covered with snow, so that's where we turned around. I won't bore you with the details of the hike, but please check the photos. It was spectacular out there today.
