| no partners | | After not being able to do this trip last weekend I decided to knock it off this weekend. The day got off to a rough start in that I couldn't find my bucket hat; which I like up on top of the ridgeline. No big deal, just lather up on sunscreen. Unfortunately when I got to the trailhead I had forgot to toss the sunscreen into the Jeep. Such is life I suppose; a 3 day break isn't as such unless I go back to school a little sun burnt.
The trip was a lot of fun otherwise and I ran into a few neat people while on the ridgeline. It was fun (but kind of disappointing) clambering up the one class 3 move near the top of 5057. Up until my Weaver's adventure a few weeks back that had been the extent of my rock climbing experience. It was very easily navigated and the shoes performed admirably.
Making it to 5057 I was surprised to see several others up there as well. In my other times on this peak I have only ever stumbled upon 1 or 2 others, if any, up here. |
