I knew that if I was going to drive up to Sedona, I would want to get some Camera time in and that means Sunrise...Since I didn't really feel like driving the wee hours of the Morning to get there, I just left the Day before and spent the Night. Normally, I would disperse Camp, but there is very little of that around there and I wasn't sure what kind of shape the Roads were in, so I opted for the only Public Campground that is open this Time of Year...Manzanita, which is Tent Only...
I got up there around 4:00 P.M., hoping that it wasn't Raining a lot, and got my Passes for the Trip. Then I just did a Tour around Sedona for a bit, checking out places to maybe catch a Sunset with the nice Clouds that were around...I found a decent Spot and just before the Color came, the Clouds almost completely disappeared at my Location... But the Late Afternoon Light was nice...
Got to the Campground after Dark and settled in for the Night, setting the Alarm to get up and try to catch a Sunrise...The Sunrise was interesting with just a bit of Color that didn't last long with very thin Clouds...After dinking around a bit more, I headed for the TH to meet up with Ursa Major and Mary Jo...I'll do a Separate Triplog for the Hike... I returned Home that Evening...
It was good to get up to Sedona again...I haven't done much up there and that needs to change somewhat I think...It really is beautiful Country.... |
