Since I was again, the last one up, I started scrubbing just beyond the small Saddle above the Draw. I had to work both down AND "around"...Whoever this Rembrandt was, he couldn't make up his Mind which way to go...We found Arrows on several "different" Routes...
Finished breaking in some new Boots...So nice to have Traction again...I was severely losing Foot Confidence in my old, smooth-soled Boots...It will take awhile to regain, but this Day was a start... Also, first Trip with a New Pack...The Jury is still out on it...I really wanted to get the Gregory Z40 again, but in the 3 years since I bought the last one, they've made a couple of changes that I'm not crazy about and the only color that was currently available was bright Red... Nothing like screaming to the Wildlife that you're coming... Got an Osprey 38 instead. A few things I don't like about it, but maybe I'll get used to it and figure it out. May end up having to buy another Pack later, we'll see...But this will be fine for most of my Day Hiking...
Rocketfeet once again obliged with a little Post-scrubbing Entertainment and JJ joined him this Time...They make that s*** look way too easy...
Good to see Bob, JJ, Zack, Jack, Rick, Stephen and Owen again! And very nice to meet Ray! Good times!
Someday, I may actually do Flatiron as a Hike again.... |

Wildflowers Observation Isolated Amazingly, some of the Brittlebush is Blooming again. I think that's like #3 for the Season for them. Some other Plant is blooming a little bit as well. |

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!" |
